Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has told Real Madrid he will not become their next manager, according The Sun.

Pochettino and Antonio Conte were the frontrunners for the job but now both have ruled themselves out.

Real had offered the Argentine an astonishing £15million a year but it wasn’t enough to tempt him from leaving.

Uncertainty at the Spanish giants and ‘constant disruption behind the scenes’ has reportedly put him off the switch.

It has been a frustrating campaign for Pochettino.

The news is a huge boost for Tottenham Hotspur after a tumultuous start to the 2018/19 season.

Spurs have been rocked by major delays to their new stadium, an injury crisis which now sees them without five first-team stars, and a dismal start to their Champions League campaign.
